Smekermann A nice little EP featuring some tasteful instrumental/proggy rock. Mountain Pass is folky and drenched in echoes. Beautiful song. Reminds me a bit of Mike Oldfield's early work in terms of atmosphere. Anyway, this was my first (and, to date, only) intersection with this band, and now I’m mildly curious to check out a full-length from them. It’s nothing that will blow you away, but it’s a pretty good way to spend 15 minutes, especially at that price point. Favorite track: Mountain Pass.
